Kayl Coulston during the poster session.

Kayl Coulston was one of 200+ undergraduates that were invited to present their undergraduate research in the 2016 SURCA held at the Compton Union Building, Senior Ballroom on March 28, 2016. SURCA is an annual event here at WSU to promote undergraduate research from all majors.

Kayl, a junior undergraduate in Computer Science, has been working under Dr. Matthew Taylor since Summer 2015 in building a low-cost autonomous rover that will be utilized to count trees in nursery farms. The current practice involves a farm worker walking through miles and hundreds of rows, while counting the trees manually.
